Initially founded in 1847, Siemens is one of the oldest German compagnies. It is active in numerous technology and industrial related industries.

Siemens also has a substantial software branch and has been producing CAD software since the 70s with Siemens NX. In the 90s Siemens expanded their CAD offer with SolidEdge.
